Napoli President De Laurentiis has confirmed that there is a release clause inserted into Victor Osimhen’s contract, and that the amount is a very high one.
According to the report by renowned football transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Napoli President De Laurentiis speaking on the Victor Osimhen’s contract and interest from other top European clubs, said that:
“There is a release clause into Victo Osimhen’s contract and it is a very high one” Napoli President De Laurentiis Confirmed.
He said: “Some players stay for many years, others are wanted by PSG, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea…”.
“It’s difficult to keep players when they are wanted by rich clubs”.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen signed his new contract with Italian champions in December of 2023, a contract that will see him be at the club until June 2026, President Aurelio De Laurentiis had announced then.
As is tradition at Napoli, De Laurentiis took control of the announcement himself, posting the images of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen signing the paperwork with only one word: ‘Done!’
According to reports by Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen will increase his salary to €10m per season after tax.
The release clause, believed to be set at €120-130million, is valid only for clubs outside of Italy during the summer.
