Wife of the President, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu in Ibadan.
Mrs Oluremi Tinubu arrived Jerico residence of Akeredolu around 12: 45 pm in company of the deputy governor of Oyo state, Bayo Lawal, Oyo state Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni and Commissioners for Special Duties, Alhaja Faosat Sanni among others.
The First Lady was received by Akeredolu’s wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and other members of the family.
Speaking while paying condolence visit to Ibadan residence of the deceased, Mrs. Tinubu stated that Akeredolu has done his best, describing him as a great man love by her family, her husband and many Nigerians.
She said: “We can only wish that his legacies he left behind can continue and it endures, I wish his wife, his children, grand children and the family that God will comfort them and also ease their pains.
“They should live with the fact that the man has done well, he has done well to people, he will be solidly missed and may his soul rest in perfect peace.
“I keep asking when somebody asks people if somebody is alright or is he sick, I said who is well? We all have one hailment or the other, and it is only God that gives us each day to live by.”
Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu died on Wednesday at the age of 67 in a German hospital.
