A Wisconsin woman Taylor Schabusiness convicted of murdering her boyfriend and dismembering him in his mother’s home was sentenced to life without parole on Tuesday, the Green Bay Press Gazette, FOX11 and WBAY report.

Taylor Schabusiness was convicted in July on three charges for killing her lover Shad Thyrion and dismembering his body, FOX11 reported at the time.

Taylor Schabusiness was accused of choking Thyrion to death in a moment of BDSM-gone-wrong before sexually abusing and then mutilating his body, People reported.

“The offense in this case can’t be overstated,” Brown County Circuit Judge Thomas Walsh said in court on Tuesday, according to the Gazette. “You seem to run out of superlatives. Where the victim’s remains are cut up? These actions are foreign. They shock the community; there aren’t really words for it.”

“This crime offends human decency. This crime offends human dignity,” he said, according to WBAY.

Michael Thyrion, the victim’s father, said before the sentencing that he forgives Taylor Schabusiness. But he said, “I’m going to miss Shad. He was a wonderful child, too,” the Gazette reports.

He said, “It does no good to hate” Schabusiness, according to the Gazette. “I know you’ve got a heart, got a mind,” he said.

Schabusiness allegedly told Green Bay Police that she and Thyrion smoked meth while spending the day together.

Detective David Graf testified that Schabusiness told authorities she used a dog collar to strangle Thyrion and recognized he was struggling to breathe but continued to strangle him anyway, WBAY reported in July.

Police believe Thyrion was strangled before his body was mutilated, per Schabusiness’ alleged account. She allegedly told police she didn’t mean to kill him, but enjoyed the choking and continued to do it, according to the initial criminal complaint.

Graf then testified that Schabusiness said she used knives from the kitchen upstairs to dismember Thyrion’s body.

The victim’s mother discovered his decapitated head in a bucket in her basement, on Feb. 23, 2022.

The disturbing moment two police officers discovered Thyrion’s severed head in his mother’s basement last February was shown in court in July, as prosecutors used body camera footage as evidence in the gruesome killing.
