The Nigeria Police Force have confirmed that the autopsy for the late singer Mohbad has been completed, and authorities are awaiting the result.
In a statement released on Thursday 21st September 2023, the Police stated that: “Autopsy Update The Nigeria Police Force wishes to inform the public that the autopsy procedure for Mr. Mohbad has been successfully completed. Further information will be provided as soon as the results are available,” Police said.
Mohbad’s body was exhumed on Thursday, by the Lagos State Police Command to commence their investigation.
The move is coming days after the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave a directive to the Lagos state police command to kick-start an investigation into the death of singer MohBad.
The Lagos police command on Monday, September 18, inaugurated a 13-man probe panel following the directive of Governor Sanwo-Olu.
And on Thursday, September 21, the police command along with some health officials commenced the exhumation Mohbad’s body from where it was buried, so that an autopsy could be carried out.
In a statement posted via his X (formerly known as Twitter) page, Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the singer’s body has been exhumed to further help the police investigation.
He posted: “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #JusticeForMohad #Justice4Mohbad.”
