Luka Modrić has signed a new one-year contract extension with Real Madrid, after turning down what was tagged as the ‘biggest salary proposal’ ever in world football from Saudi.
According to world-renowned football transfer journalist, Fabrizio, Luka Modrić received one of the biggest salary proposals ever in football from Saudi. He decided to turn down the bid with the utmost respect.
Fabrizio in his report, stated that Luka turned downs the Saudi mega deal because he wants to fight and win again at the club of his life, Real Madrid.
Real Madrid in an official statement released on Monday 26th June 2023, on their official social media handle, confirmed that Luka Modrić has agreed to extend his contract, which sees him contracted to the club until 30 June 2024.
