Gwadabe: Gov. Ganduje Mourns Ex-Minister Of Labour

Governor Ganduje of Kano State has joined millions of other Nigerians to mourn the death of a former Minister of Labour and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Musa Gwadabe.

Musa Gwadabe died on Wednesday morning at the age of 87 after a protracted illness at a Kano hospital, according to family sources.

Gwadabe was also a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Kano.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state, in a statement released on Wednesday 26th April 2023, described the death of the prominent and illustrious Kano citizen and elder stateman as an “extremely disturbing experience”.

Gwadabe according to the Governor, was one of the principled politicians the nation is proud of, adding that “His love for his people created a corridor for him to be so endeared to his people, both in the state and in the country at large.”

“One of the leading political leaders who stood for the downtrodden one. The loss is not for his family or the state alone, it is for the entire political class and democracy at large,” the governor said.

The funeral rites will be observed at his residence on Ado Madaka road in Kano by 2pm Wednesday (today).

He is survived by two wives, 11 children and grandchildren.

Among his children is Alhaji Nazifi Musa Gwadabe, a contractor in Kano.
