2023 Polls: Win Your Wards For PDP - Tidi Tells Councillors

The chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr Michael Tidi as part of his plans to make sure his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) comes out tops in the 2023 polls slated for Saturday, February 25, has charged the 20 councillors of Warri South Legislative Arm, to vigorously canvass for votes and make sure they win their wards for the PDP Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representative candidates.

Dr. Tidi, who handed down the charge in Warri, during a meeting with the councillors, Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, Warri South Council Supervisors and some of his Aides, stressed the need for the grassroots lawmakers to win their wards in the round of 2023 polls billed for this weekend, before consolidating on the gains in the March 11 elections.

He told the councillors to capitalize on their goodwill at the grassroots level to the overall advantage of the PDP, noting that the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar/ Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa Presidency, would benefit the people of Warri South and other Niger Deltans a great deal.

According to Tidi, the Warri South Council area is expected to bring block votes during the Saturday election, adding that the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, of relying on them to do the needful.

Responding on behalf of the councillors, the Leader of the Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon Sylvester Ijabor assured the chairman that they will do their best and deliver their wards for the PDP.

Ijabor said the councillors have already started talking to their people on the need to vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections, adding that machinery were already set in motion to ensure that PDP is victorious come this Saturday and March 11, 2023.
