The men of the Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect and recovered a dummy pistol, handcuff, and three military face caps, Police authorities in the state said in a statement.
According to the statement released on Thursday 19th January 2023, by the Bayelsa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, the Police stated that the arrest of the notorious armed robbery suspect was done by the Anti-kidnapping unit of Bayelsa State Police Command.
SP Asinim Butswat who shared a photo of the armed robbery suspect being paraded at a Police station, gave the suspect’s name as Kaizer Freeman.
The suspect was arrested following a complaint by a victim who was robbed of her mobile phone on gunpoint at Agudama, Yenagoa, on 17 January 2023 at about 1745 hours.
SP Asinim Butswat in his statement revealed that upon a search of the suspect house, the Police recover one dummy pistol, a pistol holster, a handcuff, and Navy, Army and Air Force face caps.
The suspect has admitted to the crime and an investigation is ongoing to recover the phone, the suspect will be charged in court after the investigation.
