Nigerian singer Tems has won favourite Hip-Hop song award at the just concluded American Music Award show with the song, ‘Wait For U’. She shared the award with Future and Drake, after they won with their featured song, ‘Wait For U’ on Sunday night in Los Angeles, United States of America.
The Nigerian singer Tems who had earlier lost to Wizkid in the AMAs Favourites Afrobeats artist award, took home an award after winning the category of Favourite Hip-Hop Song ‘Wait For U’ which she was featured in alongside Future and Drake.
The song ‘Wait For U’ which is owned by Future, featured Drake and Tems and was released in 2022. They were nominated alongside Jack Harlow, “First Class” Kodak Black, “Super Gremlin” Latto, “Big Energy” Lil Nas X ft. Jack Harlow, “Industry Baby”

Future, Drake, and Tems wrote the song with producers FnZ (Finatik and Zac) and ATL Jacob, alongside Tejiri Akpoghene.
