The chairman of Lagos State Park Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, has rubbished reports making the rounds, that he sanctioned the sale of new N500 stickers for transporters in the state, in order to raise funds for the Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign.

MC Oluomo in a statement on Tuesday 20th September 2022, while reacting to a viral social media video that was tagged to him, where a motorist was resisting to be issued the sticker, stated that he has no knowledge of such move, as he called on Lagosians to make the location where this is taking place known to him, so that investigation can be carried out to fish out the people behind such move. He was also quick to say that he is not surprised about such video and allegations, given that it is the election season.

He also said that Tinubu has more than enough people that are ready and willing to fund his campaign and does not need to go so low to raise funds.

Mc Oluomo full statement reads:

My attention has yet again been drawn to a video clip circulating online showing an altercation between two people as regards a sticker.

It came to me as a surprise seeing that people were attaching the video to me and are also quick to state that it was a campaign fee to support the election of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Naturally i would have just ignored it, knowing that it the handiwork of naysayers. Being in an election session, i also know their malicious intentions and the cheap political goal they aim to get with the video. I am however compelled for the sake of clarity to set the record straight.

I did not know anything about the said sticker, neither did i sanction the sale. I would appreciate additional information as regards the location where the incident happened so that we can conduct thorough investigation.

We are against anything that would hamper the free flow of business activities or bring hardship up[on our people.

May i also inform the public that the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has more than enough people willing to finance his campaign and such money would not come from me or my office.

I want to urge our people to be vigilant and remember that we are in a election period as such political parties would be looking of ways both ethical and unethical to outsmart themselves. I however implore them to leave me out of their political permutations and stop maligning my name for the sake of cheap popularity,” he said.

The Alleged Video On The MC Oluomo N500 New Sticker:

In the video, the park management officer was seen harassing a motorist who refused to purchase the sticker. “You will have to meet the chairman (MC Oluomo) for questions,” the officer said while struggling with the motorist.

The video was posted by Human Rights campaigner Rinu Oduala, who says that Mr Tinubu’s self-acclaimed political structure is based on “criminality, tyranny and fraud.”

“If they ask you about structure, this is the structure of criminality, tyranny and fraud they have in order to win elections,” Ms Oduala tweeted.
