Kate and Meghan were seen walking together inside Westminster as the royal family showed a united front after the procession of the Queen’s coffin through London.
Princess of Wales Kate, sat in a car with Queen Consort Camilla in a cortege while Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, followed behind with Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.
Kate and Meghan took an understated role while husbands Harry and William walked behind the coffin alongside King Charles and the Queen’s other children Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
The cortege travelled with police escort vehicles past the Grand Entrance at around 2.45pm.
Kate and Camilla were driven in the first car, while Meghan and Sophie followed behind.
Meanwhile, the procession travelled from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall, where the Queen will lie in state until the morning of her funeral on Monday.
After the procession arrived at Westminster Hall, the coffin was placed on a purple-covered catafalque.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex held hands as they moved through Westminster Hall at the end of the chuch service while the other royal couples in the procession party walked side by side.
This afternoon’s procession saw the royal family united in their grief for a mother and grandmother, after William and Harry put on a united front with their wives during a walkabout on Saturday.
The brothers have a well-documented troubled relationship but the death of their grandmother saw them unexpectedly come together when they viewed floral tributes left to the late Queen at Windsor Castle.
William, Kate, Harry and Meghan arrived in the same vehicle on September 10 and greeted well-wishers for around 40 minutes before William hopped into the driver’s seat of the Audi with his wife in the passenger seat, and his brother and sister-in-law in the back.
