Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu met with one of Hollywood’s finest and veteran actress, Ms Lyn Whitfield in Atlanta, the city that hosted the 15th Headies Global awards in the United States of America.
The Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu who shared the photo of his meeting with the 69-year-old Hollywood actress on his official social media handle, said he was pleased to have met the primetime Emmy awards-winning actress who has built an admirable and accomplished career spanning over 40 decades.
In one of the captions of the photo, the Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu stated that Ms Lyn Whitfield and himself talked about the clear vision the Lagos State Government have for a well-structured entertainment sector in Lagos state.
“She was excited to meet our team and looks forward to possibly partnering with our creative industry.
We let her and other creative gurus that we met, know that there are thousands of people in the arts and entertainment industry in Nigeria, and Lagos in particular that need to be heard globally and tell the Lagos story like Davdio Wizkid and a number of our filmmakers.
And we will continue to play our role by creating an enabling space for those in the arts and entertainment industry to shine and be global players and ambassadors for our dear country and state,” he added.
The Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu was one of the top politicians that graced the 15th Headies Global Awards ceremony that took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States of America. And it was the first time the foremost award ceremony that celebrates Nigeria’s Afrobeat culture and ideologies will be taking place outside the shores of the country.
