Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated all the winners and nominees at the just concluded 15th Headies Global Awards ceremony in Atlanta. He also congratulated the organisers of the awards for putting on a great show.

The 15th Headies Global Awards ceremony took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States of America. It was the first time the foremost award ceremony that celebrates Nigeria’s Afrobeat culture and ideologies will be taking place outside the shores of the country, and Governor Sanwo-Olu was there as a special guest.

The governor who posted a series of photos from the event on his official social media handle on Monday 5th September 2022, congratulated all the participants and stated that it was a privilege to attend the award ceremony to collaborate better with the entertainment industry.

“I must say it was indeed one of the proudest moments of my life as a Nigerian who appreciates the hard work all these entertainers put into their craft. I’m also glad to be associated with these bundles of talents.

The acceptance of our music and culture globally is what makes us unique as Nigerians.

I would therefore congratulate the organisers of this prestigious award, especially Ayo Animashaun of pulling such a feat.

Big congratulations to all the nominees and eventual winners of the awards in the different categories. You are all winners, and we salute you all,” he added.
