The police officer who was declared wanted in connection with the investigation into the Femicide in Paris was arrested on Tuesday morning, without incident, announced the Minister of the Interior on his Twitter account.
According to the report by BFMtv, the 29-year-old policeman was arrested at his father’s home in Montmeyan, in the Var. The suspect contacted the gendarmes around 9:45 a.m. to report his presence. He was taken into custody.
“He came to say goodbye to me”, testified briefly the father of Arnaud B. on BFMTV.
The Femicide In Paris:
On January 28, the body of Amanda G., a 29-year-old young woman, was found dead at the home of Arnaud B., a police officer assigned to the Blanc-Mesnil police station, in Seine-Saint-Denis. This discovery had been made by a team of policemen sent to this apartment in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, so the policeman had warned that he would not come to work that day.
Since that day, Arnaud B. appears as a suspect and was wanted. On his run, the man withdrew 1,500 euros from a distributor in Breteuil, in the Oise. On January 11, his car, a white Peugeot 208 “in poor general condition” was found in the parking lot of a Burger King in Amiens. It was a witness who had informed the police.
As part of the investigation, two calls for witnesses were launched by the judicial police. The first dates from January 10. The second was published a few days ago accompanied by photos showing the policeman without a beard or with a mask.
