Geoffrey Paschel, a former star of 90 Day Fiancé, has been jailed for 18 years after being convicted of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault.

The 44-year-old, Geoffrey Paschel who appeared on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in season four, was sentenced to spend 18 years behind bars without parole for the incident which took place in June 2019.

Knox County Tennessee District Attorney Charme Allen said in a statement via People: ‘Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Domestic Violence Unit obtained an eighteen-year sentence against a defendant who assaulted his fiancée and refused to let her leave her residence.

‘Geoffrey Ian Paschel, 44, was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and interference with emergency calls. Judge Kyle Hixson ordered Paschel to serve eighteen years in prison without the possibility of parole.’

The lengthy sentence without the possibility of parole came after Paschel’s prior convictions of possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, as well as two federal drug trafficking charges.

Police had been called in June 2019 after the victim alleged that she had been assaulted by Geoffrey Paschel and had fled to a neighbour’s house while he was asleep.

A previous statement from the Knox County D.A. revealed: ‘Paschel grabbed the victim by the neck and slammed her head against the wall several times.

‘She was also thrown to the ground and dragged. Geoffrey Paschel took the victim’s cell phone and did not allow her to leave the residence.’

Police had noted a large bruise on the victim’s forehead and bruises and abrasions on her arms and back and inside her lip, and she was diagnosed with a concussion.

Paschel had testified that he victim’s injuries were self-inflicted but was found guilty at the two-day trial in October.

Viewers of 90 Day Fiancé had called for Paschel to be removed from the show in March 2020 after his criminal history and the allegations against him.

He wrote in an Instagram post at the time: ‘I have been repeatedly asked why I would EVER want to be on a show (the best show FYI) where my life would be put in front of everyone to pick apart—especially with my checkered past.

‘Well, guys, it is MY past. It is MY life. It is MY choice. If we were all the same: thought the same, looked the same, or acted the same, how lame would that be?’
