The Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS), led by its Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi on Monday, arrested principal officers of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the state, Kunle Poly and Sego over Lagos island cult clash.
According to the statement released by the RRS on Monday 24th January 2022, on their official social media handle, the Force stated that Kunle Poly and Sego who are suspects in the constant clashes in Idumota and its environs which has intermittently crippled commercial activities in the area, on Monday evening.
The arrest was effected at a meeting where Kunle Poly and Sego along with some other stakeholders converged.
The latest clash which occurred last week Thursday reportedly led to the death of a victim while commercial activities were paralyzed in the area for some time, until a joint team of police officers were deployed immediately to the area to restore peace.
Kunle and Sego have been transferred to Zone II, Onikan, Lagos.
