The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported and confirmed a total of 1305 new COVID-19 cases of the coronavirus and 21 deaths in the country.
According to the daily report by the health agency, the 1305 new COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday 25th December 2021, now put the total number of confirmed cases since the inception of the pandemic to 236,014 confirmed cases and 212,357 as of the number of discharged cases.
The death toll also stands at 3,014, all recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 1305 new cases were reported from 14 states and the distribution of these cases across these states and the federal capital territory, shows the following:

According to the report by NCDC, Saturday’s report includes:
79 confirmed cases reported from Kaduna state for 24th (59) & 25th (20) December, 12 confirmed & 16 discharged cases reported from Enugu state for 24th December, 25 confirmed cases reported from Anambra state for 24th December
6 confirmed cases were reported from Jigawa state for 24th December, 1 confirmed case reported from Zamfara state for 23rd December, 20 discharged cases reported from Kaduna state for 24th (10) & 25th (10) December.
Backlog of deaths reported from Kaduna (4) and Imo (16) States
0 cases were reported from Bauchi and Sokoto States
