The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported and confirmed a total of 2123 new COVID-19 cases of the coronavirus and 4 deaths in the country.
According to the daily report by the health agency, the 2123 new COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday 21st December 2021, now put the total number of confirmed cases since the inception of the pandemic to 227,378 confirmed cases and 211761 as of the number of discharged cases.
The death toll also stands at 2989, all recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 2123 new cases were reported from 11 states and the distribution of these cases across these states and the federal capital territory, shows the following:

According to the NCDC, Tuesday’s report includes:
33 confirmed cases and 10 discharges reported from Plateau state for 20th December 2021, and 12 confirmed cases reported from Enugu state for 20th December 2021,
and 0 cases reported from Sokoto State
