Karibi Fubara: “Castle And Castle" Is Dead

Karibi Fubara, popular Nollywood actor, is dead.

The death of Karibi Fubara who appeared in films such as “God Calling,” “Quam’s Money,” “Castle and Castle,” “Royal Hibiscus Hotel,” and “Smart Money Woman,” was confirmed by his sister, Aya Eneli on Wednesday, December 12, 2021. 

Aya Eneli taking to her social media account to announce the passing of Karibi Fubara, said:

My brother, Karibi Fubara, has joined the ancestral realm. I’m devastated, but not hopeless”, she wrote. “He lived fully and with joy. Left a great body of work. Will be a powerful ancestor. I love you, #ChiefBlack. I do not own the rights to this song.”

In 2020, in a lengthy post on Instagram, Fubara who is married to celebrity stylist, Yolanda Okereke, revealed how he found out he had a large mid-stage kidney tumour/cancer around April and had successful surgery in May.

The deceased won many hearts in films in his role in the recent Smart Money Woman and God Calling.

Some Nollywood stars have also taken to their social media handles to mourn the actor, as the likes of rapper Falz, Ramsey Nouah and Mo Abudu expressed their sadness and shock over the sad news.

Nollywood film-maker and Nigerian media mogul, Mo Abudu Taking to her social media handle, wrote:

Rest In Peace Karibi. You will be missed. Heaven has gained an Angel.

My dearest twinnie @kalane_fubara, my darling @yolandaokereke , and to the entire family, I pray our dear Lord sends his healing light to the entire family,” she said.
