Victor Chujor-Idowu Beats by Jayy is being reported to have died from COVID-19 complications, at the age of 28.
The sad news of his death was announced on social media by his family, in a statement released and signed on Sunday 21st November 2021.
According to the information posted online by his brother Frank Chujor who confirmed the passing of Victor, in a statement for the family, the family stated that Beats by Jayy died on the 20th November 2021, from COVID-19.
The statement which was posted alongside a photograph of Victor Chujor-Idowu reads:
“It’s with a heavy hear that we announced the passing of multitalented producer/singer and songwriter Victor Chujor-Idowu aka beats by Jayy. He passed away at the age of 28 following complications from COVID-19.
He is survived by his mother and siblings.
We would appreciate that you grant us the utmost privacy as we grieve this tragic loss,” the family stated.
Since the news broke, Nigerian celebrities both from the movie and music industry, have taken to their separate social media handles to register their condolences.

Over the past few years, Beats By Jayy as he was popularly known, rose from just being an underground Hip-Hop producer to being one of Nigeria’s most celebrated producers.
Jayy was known for being an associate of AQ, MI Abaga, Blaqbonez and Loose Kaynon. He also produced for the likes of iLLBliss, Teeto Ceemos and more in the Nigeria music industry.
