Professor Charles Soludo’s daughter, Adaora has congratulated him on winning the just concluded Anambra state Governorship election.
Adaora Soludo who is the first daughter of the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, on Wednesday 10th November 2021, took to her social media handle to share a lovely photo of her father and herself with a message to congratulate him on his victory as the Anambra State Governor-elect.
She captioned the photo saying:
“Congratulations dad! Words cannot express how proud of you I am. I know this hasn’t been an easy journey but this is a divine journey whose time has come.
You are truly the people’s choice! Thank you Ndi Anambra for believing in him and for the massive support
Long live APGA!
Long live Anambra State!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she added.
The post from Professor Charles Soludo’s daughter came a few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the 2021 Anambra gubernatorial election.
The Returning Officer of INEC, Prof. Florence Obi, who announced the results early Wednesday morning in Awka, Anambra State, said, “Soludo, having scored the highest number of votes and won more than two-thirds of the election in 21 Local Government, is hereby declared the winner.”
Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo won 19 of the 21 Local Governments election results declared by INEC.
The APGA governorship candidate polled 112,229 votes to defeat Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who garnered 53,807 votes to emerge second, while Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) got 43,285 votes to emerge third.
Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, came fourth with 21,261 votes.
