Manchester United thrashed 5-0 at Old Trafford by Liverpool on Sunday, as the side led by Jürgen Klopp took all three important points to keep up the pressure on league leaders, Chelsea.
In the Super Sunday game, Manchester United were four-goal down at half-time. And it was Naby Keita, Mohamed Salah And Diogo Jota who ran the show with goals, as the entire Liverpool team showed brilliance with and without possession.
Liverpool started the second half just like the first half, and it there could have been more goals, if not for some brilliance from Manchester United goalkeeper, De Gea.
Mohamed Salah scored his team’s fifth on 50 minutes – his third of another hay-making day – and at that point it seemed as if the final scoreline could have been anything. The feeling gathered pace when Paul Pogba, on as a half-time substitute for United, was sent off just after the hour for jumping into a nasty tackle on Naby Keïta. The Liverpool midfielder was carried off on a stretcher.
Liverpool, though, left it at that, which was a relief for Solskjær, as was the fact that the jeers from the crowd at full-time were not as vitriolic. Most of the Norwegian’s detractors had long since left the ground.

The defeat on Sunday, now put Manchester United on just 14 points in 9 games, and 7th on the English Premier table. While for Liverpool, they are now just one point behind lead leaders Chelsea and a point ahead of Manchester City.
