The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Monday, reported 387 new COVID-19 cases in the country, as the deadly virus continues to spread across the country.
The NCDC aside from the 387 new COVID-19 cases reported on Monday, also stated in a statement released on Monday 13th September 2021, that a total of 21 deaths were recorded in Nigeria on the same date.
The latest update from the NCDC shows that, to date, a total of 199,538 cases have been confirmed, and a total of 188,427 cases have been discharged with 2,619 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, as at this date.
The 387 new COVID-19 cases were reported from 16 states and the distributions across these states show the following:

Also, according to the statement released by the NCDC, Monday’s report includes four states with zero cases report: Abia, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Sokoto.
1,700 recoveries were reported for Lagos State from 11th September 2021 including community discharges. And a backlog of 9 deaths reported from Lagos State.
