Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is rumoured to have been offered to English Premier League defending champions, Manchester City for £25million.
The latest news is coming a few days after Manchester City lost their opening game at the start of the 2021-2022 season to Spurs.
According to reports, Jorge Mendes who is the agent to the Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to have offered his client to Manchester City this summer.
Both Ronaldo and Juventus have a shared desire to part ways this summer, and with just 14 days before the end of the transfer window, the 36-year-old could now be on the move.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mendes has begun negotiations with City turn out for the blue half of Manchester.
The report also states that the Portuguese forward has asked the Juventus hierarchy for a move away from Turin this summer in a deal that would have a seismic impact on the transfer market.
Although Manchester City’s priority signing up front is Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, they reportedly view Ronaldo as a suitable alternative to the English striker.
According to Marca, Juventus have not been immune to the economic crisis at the top level of European football, and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has already failed to secure moves to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United this summer.
A deal to take Cristiano Ronaldo to the Etihad Stadium this summer would be particularly surprising due to the fact that he spent six years at Manchester United and has frequently spoken of his love for his former club. But nothing has been confirmed by both clubs as at the time of this report.
