Jules Kounde, a Manchester United, Real Madrid and Spurs target, is being linked with a possible move to reigning European Champions, Chelsea.
According to the report by Fabrizio on Tuesday 27th July 2021, Chelsea have opened talks with the Sevilla and French centre back, despite having a surplus playing in the same position at the Bridge.
The reports stated that negotiations are still ongoing, between Chelsea and Sevilla for Jules Kounde. And they are yet to reach an agreement on his €80million release clause. But nothing was said on whether Chelsea and Sevilla are willing to do a ‘player-plus cash’ deal for the defender as discussions to find a solution for a more acceptable price are still ongoing.
Fabrizio also reported that Jules Koundé who was part of the French team to the just concluded Euro 2020 tournament, would be open to a move to Chelsea as he wants to play Champions League football, which was one of the reasons he has delayed a move to Tottenham.
Manchester United who also qualified for next season Champions League, are said to be moving for the 22-years-old who is seen as a potential who has displayed plenty of talent and also already to show he could become a world-class defender.
Kounde star as a centre-back but he is also very comfortable playing as a right-sided full-back. But nothing has been heard from the Red Devils who are more focused on Varane.
