The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru who is in Rivers State on an operational visit to Units under the 6th division of the Nigerian Army was today received at the Executive Chamber of the Rivers State Government House.
Governor Wike while receiving the Chief of Army Staff in Port Harcourt, urged him to “restore respect to the Army and make a difference by ensuring the Army under his watch focuses on its core mandate of protecting the territorial integrity of the Nation and securing its citizens.
The Rivers State Government on its part is fully committed to supporting the Army and other security agencies to ensure the safety and security of our citizens”, he said.
