Some of the women working in Osinbajo’s office, surprised the newly elected Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala during her courtesy visit to the Vice President on Tuesday.
Dr Okonjo-Iweala who made her first official visit to Nigeria since she assumed office as WTO DG on Monday, first met with President Muhammadu Buhari, and other senior cabinet members at the Aso Rock Villa, before her visit to the office of the Vice President.
In a series of photos shared online by Aso Rock staffs, Dr Okonjo-Iweala can be seen in some of those photos, bursting into laughter after emerging from her meeting with the Vice President, and being greeted with some rounds of applause from the women who formed a queue to celebrate her.
She truly felt surprised by the generous act put together by the women working in Osinbajo’s office.
According to Tolani Alli, who is the Personal Photographer to The Vice President, who also shared some of those photos which we suspect she took, said, the surprise by the women working in Osinbajo’s office came immediately after the meeting with Vice President Osinbajo and WTO DG.
From the photos, you can tell she was surprised and the women who all planned the surprised, all loved and enjoyed it.

Okonjo-Iweala during her visit, described WTO as an economic institution that could work with other financial institutions to support investments and technical assistance to mitigate Nigeria’s economic challenges.
She said the WTO was created with World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), adding that these three institutions, by working together, could deliver a lot.
Mrs Okonjo-Iweala also noted that Nigeria’s share in world trade was 0.33 per cent which showed a small fraction of what Nigeria could do.
“Our share in Africa’s trade is 19 per cent, which is below our share of Africa’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This means we can turn it around,” she said.
“I like to look at the optimistic side, when I saw this I knew that there was potential for us to do much. And that is the message I want to convey to the country.
“This means that we must step up our action on the economy, we must do better and harder in several ways because of our youth who are waiting for jobs.
