NAF Crash Victims: Gov. Fayemi Attends Burial

Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State, joined the family of Olawunmi at the burial ceremony of their son, husband, father and son-in-law, late Flight Sergeant Olasunkanmi Olawunmi in Abuja on Thursday. The late Flight Sergeant was one of the NAF crash victims from the ill-fated KingAir B350i Beechcraft plane that crashed on Sunday, after experiencing engine failure near Abuja airport.

Governor Fayemi who had earlier paid a private visit to the home of Flight Sergeant Olasunkanmi Olawunmi at Ogotun-Ekiti, and commiserated with the widow Mrs Omolola Olawunmi and the entire family, attended the burial ceremony of the seven Nigerian NAF crash victims at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.

The Governor who expressed his sadness and shock at the NAF plane crash and the death of the seven personnel, pray that their departed Souls rest in peace.

The Governor was pictured consoling the wife of the late Flight Sergeant Olasunkanmi Olawunmi at the burial ceremony.

In attendance at the NAF crash victims burial were: Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, other Service Chiefs led by the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Lucky Irabor, and relatives of the late officers.
