Mr Abdurasheed Bawa has paid his first official visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, where he received a Presidential briefings as to the task ahead. This is coming 24-hours after his confirmation by the Senate as the new Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Although Mr Abdurasheed Bawa is yet to release an official statement after his confirmation, a series of photos were posted on the official social media handle of the Presidency showing President Muhammadu Buhari and himself at the Aso Villa on Thursday 25th February 2021. But the reason for his visit was yet to be made known by the Presidency as at the time of this report.
Abdurasheed Bawa confirmation followed over two hours of grilling by Senators who sought answers to various questions from the nominee.
He is only 41!
