1056 New Cases Of COVID-19 Reported By NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported a total of 1056 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus in Nigeria. This latest report which also saw 21 deaths, was reported on Tuesday 9th February 2021.

The NCDC in their daily update on the coronavirus spread and deaths across the 36 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, stated on their official social media handle that the 1056 new cases recorded on Tuesday, were data from 22 states. The distribution of these 1056 new cases, shows the following across the 22 states.

Osun (120),
FCT (116),
Plateau (88),
Ebonyi (75),
Kwara (73),
Gombe (70),
Ondo (57),
Rivers (47),
Akwa Ibom (38),
Edo (25),
Oyo (23),
Kano (22),
Delta (19)
Katsina (18),
Borno (16),
Nasarawa (13),
Ekiti (8),
Ogun (8),
Bauchi (4),
Benue(1) and
Jigawa (1)
According to NCDC, till date, a total of 141,447 cases have been confirmed, with 115,755 cases discharged and 1,694 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The discharges for Tuesday includes 478 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
