Ernest Asuzu a popular Nollywood actor, dies at 37. His death was confirmed by friends and family members on Wednesday morning.
Ernest Asuzu who stared in the 1997 movie ‘Rituals’ was said to have died on Tuesday evening.
A close source said the actor fainted on Tuesday evening and never woke up. His remains are on the way to the east for funeral rites.
Ernest Asuzu began his acting career in the ’90s and acted in many Nollywood movies before his acting career nosedived after he came down with a stroke in 2015 which affected his speech. He was also bedridden for three years.
The actor had complained that the stroke he suffered in 2015 was spiritual. He was also planning a return to Nollywood and music after an eight-year hiatus.
He launched a music album, a 7-track album titled, ‘The Truth’ in December 2020.
