Sevilla have re-signed Croatia midfielder, Ivan Rakitic from La Liga rivals Barcelona, as the midfielder returns to the club he left for Barcelona six years ago.
Europa League champions Sevilla said Rakitic had signed a four-year deal.
The 32-year-old, who was at Sevilla between January 2011 and June 2014 before joining Barca, won 13 trophies at the Nou Camp, including four La Liga titles and one Champions League crown.
He made 310 competitive appearances, scoring 36 goals and giving 36 assists.
FC Barcelona confirmed this on their official website on Tuesday, saying they have reached an agreement with Sevilla FC for the transfer of Ivan Rakitic, for 1.5 million euros plus 9m in variables.
The club also expressed its gratitude to Rakitic for his commitment and dedication and wishes him good luck and success in the future.
