Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, has commended the coalition of Christian Association of Nigeria and Council of Ulamas in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas of the state, for initiating a peace move in collaboration with the State Government to ending the crisis in their communities.
Governor Bala while thanking the leaders from Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas, said he will ensure the safe return of all the displaced communities in the State.
The Governor who had on Tuesday 18th August 2020, held a meeting with the coalition of Christian Association of Nigeria and Council of Ulamas from Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas, and other officials from affected areas, reiterated the support of his government to the people during their visit.
Governor Bala while addressing them, said:
“I am happy that our Muslims and Christians in Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro have now come together in peace to achieve long-lasting solutions to the numerous problems confronting the area.
I assure you that the state government will setup up a structure to resolve all issues raised through community engagement and collective decision.
I further urge our religious leaders to sensitise our youth to desist from engaging or allowing themselves to be used for violence.,” he said.
