Sam Smith has just announced that he will be dropping a new song he titled, ‘My Oasis’ on Thursday. He also said the African Giant himself, Burna Boy is on the new song.
The Pop superstar who made this announcement on Wednesday night, via his social media handle, is looking set to return to music after a short break.
He posted an Instagram video teasing fans with their brand new single, which he said will be out on Thursday.
Throughout the black-and-pink teaser video, fans can hear what sounds like the opening of the track, with some hypnotic bells and a skipping bassline.
My Oasis comes following Smith’s decision back in March to postpone and rename their third studio album. Originally titled To Die For and slated for a May 1 release, the singer revealed in an Instagram post that the timing and title of the album didn’t “feel right” to them, but promised fans that “I am still going to bring out some new music over the next few months.”
This is another big collaboration for Burna Boy, who also was recently featured in Pop Smoke album.
We cannot wait to hear what Burnaboy will sound like in this latest collaboration with Sam Smith…he never disappoints though.
