COVID-19: Cases Jumps To 50,488 With 593 New Cases

The total number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Nigeria as at Friday 24th July 2020, is now 39,539. This figure was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which also reported 591 new cases of the virus on Friday.

According to the statement posted on the official social media handle of the NCDC, as at Friday 24th July 2020, the centre reported 591 new cases across some states of the federation. These 591 new cases as reported by the specialist centre, were recorded in 18 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The NCDC also stated in their official social media handle that, a total number of 39,539 cases have been confirmed so far, with 16,559 patients discharged, and sadly, with 845 deaths recorded as of Friday 24th July 2020.
