Rapper, Big Sean, has finally broken his silence on Naya Rivera’s death, and ex-fiancee, as he took to his social media page on Saturday to post a message a few days after the sad news.
Big Sean speaking on Naya Rivera’s death, posted photos showing his ex-fiancée posing alone, and the other one where she was photographed cuddling with her son. In his caption of the photos, he said he is still griefing while calling the former “Glee” star a “hero.”
He said:
“Rest In Peace Naya, God Bless your Soul!”
Acknowledging her heroic effort in her last moments on Earth, he continued,
“Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and presence. you are a hero! Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own,” he said.
He then turned the tables to speak about the time they shared together.
Big Sean continued by staying, “ I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person.” He then told his fans that he’s “grieving and in shock. He added, “I can’t believe this is real.” Ending his heartbreaking tribute, Big Sean wrote, “I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya 💙🙏🏾.” he added about Naya Rivera’s death.
Big Sean and Naya Rivera got engaged in October 2013 after dating just six months. They called off it quits in April 2014.
Naya Rivera went missing while out on Lake Piru in Southern California with her four-year-old son. Authorities confirmed she drowned but not before she pulled her child to safety.
The 33-year-old actress’ son was found alone on the boat on Wednesday, July 8. He told police that he was swimming in the lake with his mom and when he got back on the boat, he looked behind and saw her disappear into the water
It took five days to locate her body and her drowning was declared as an accident, by a medical examiner.
