Megan Thee Stallion is finally speaking up since revealing she was shot on Sunday. The 25-year-old rapper says she’s “hurt” and “traumatized” after suffering gunshot wounds while leaving a Hollywood Hills party and having to get surgery to remove the bullets.
Megan Thee Stallion took to her official Twitter account to express her feelings on the sad incident, slamming haters who have turned her real-life incident into a joke.
Taking to her account, Megan Thee Stallion alluded to protecting someone before putting her needs first. “Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own,” the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper posted ahead of the weekend.
She continued:
“It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life,” before adding, “I’m real life hurt and traumatized,” she added.
“On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,” she wrote. “I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.
Tory Lanez allegedly fired the shots but he’s now reportedly saying the shooting was “an accident.”
According to reports, Tory Lanez is believed to be the trigger man and cops are taking a hard look at him. The only problem is, everyone involved is allegedly not cooperating with police.
He was arrested after police found a gun in his car but he has not been charged with any crimes in connection with the actual shooting.
“Tory fired the shots from within the vehicle while Megan was outside trying to leave,” a source told the New York Post. “There is video and the police are investigating. This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman,” the insider added
