Two unidentified persons have been reported dead, and many injured and trapped under, as yet another building collapsed in Lagos state. The recent building collapse, is said to be a Three-storey building, located at Freeman street in the popular Lagos Island area of Lagos State.
The three-story building according to reports, collapsed at 20, Freeman Street, Lagos Island. The incident happened at about 3 am on Saturday 11th July 2020, and so far, six people have been rescued alive.
As at the time of making this report, no official statement have been released as to the collapsed three-storey building. But speaking briefly on the sad incident, the Southwest Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Ibrahim Farinloye, had said: “Nine to 10 people are suggested to be living in the building. Efforts are on to rescue the remaining people,” he added.
