The Nigerian troops of Operation Thunder Strike, a subsidiary of operation Accord, has rescued three persons who were reported to have been kidnapped by bandits in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State, .
According to the report by the military, the successful operation was a sequel to credible intelligence on the kidnap of some people by armed bandits from their farm in Gwazunu village, where they promptly deployed to the scene and engaged the bandits with effective firepower.
The bandits escaped in disarray with gunshot wounds thereby abandoning the kidnapped victims.
All the victims were successfully rescued unhurt and have been reunited with their families, the Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters, Major General John Enenche reports.
According to Major General Enenche, who shared the news in a statement on Thursday 9th July 2020, said the Military High Command congratulated the gallant troops on getting the information about the incident in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State. The troops were congratulated for their dedication and unwavering commitment. The military high command also urged them to remain committed and sustain the onslaught against the criminals.
