24-year-old German International, Leroy Sane has put up a message to Manchester City fans thanking them for  their support over the last 4-years, as he makes his way out of the club.

His message comes after he made a £55million move to German side and Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.

Taking to his social media account, he posted some photos showing some of the memorable moments of himself in the Manchester City jersey, and all the trophies he won with the club during the last 4-years in England.

He said:
First of all, thank you, Citizens! Thanks so much for the great time
and all the support over the last 4 years. It has been a really intense and successful time which I surely won’t forget.

We won many games, scored a ton of goals, broke a couple of records and celebrated 7 trophies together.
Thanks to all the fans, to the staff and to my teammates! I will always remember this time with great joy and pride,” he said thanking the fans, the citizens.

Leroy Sane also thanked Pep Guardiola for his contribution and making him the player that he is today. He said:

Also thanks to my coach who has made me a better player and has a large share of my PFA Young Player of the Year award 2018. I’ve learned a lot and I’m very proud to have been part of this journey,” he added.

Leroy Sane who has made just one appearance in the Premier League this season after suffering a serious knee injury in the Community Shield last August, made his return as a second-half substitute for Phil Foden in City’s 5-0 victory over Burnley last month. This game from the breaking news this morning will be his final appearance for the citizens.

His contract at City was due to expire in 2021 and Pep Guardiola’s side held discussions over a possible extension but the German-made it clear he wanted to leave the club this summer.

His new club Bayern made the announcement that they have completed the signing of the german international on Friday 3rd July 2020.
Speaking on his move back to Germany, Sane had this to say about his move:

‘FC Bayern is a great club with big goals – and these goals suit me as well,’ he said

‘I’m looking forward to the new challenge and can’t wait to train with the team. ‘I know Hansi Flick from the U21 national team, we had a very good relationship there.

I want to win as many trophies as possible with FC Bayern, and the Champions League is the top priority,” he added.

He is expected to earn around £20m-a-year at the Allianz Arena, a hefty wage packet which City had no interest in matching.
