NCDC Reports 626 New Cases Of COVID-19 As Total Now  27,110

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Thursday, reported 626 new cases of the coronavirus across the country, taking the total confirmed positive cases so far to 27,110.

The NCDC announced on Thursday 3rd July 2020, on its official social media handle that 626 new cases have been recorded in some states of the federation.

The latest figures just like the previous updates from the national public health institute, which is responaible to lead the prevention, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks in Nigeria, shows Lagos state with the highest positive cases out of the 626 new cases confirmed on Thursday.

The state recorded 193 cases out of the positive cases confirmed on Thursday with FCT recording 85 cases to rank the second highest.

The update from the national public health institute, also shows that the 626 new cases were recorded in 20 states, including the FCT.

The distribution of these new cases across the 20 states, shows the following:

NCDC from Thursday report, stated that 27,110 were total confirmed cases, with  10,801 discharged patients and 616 deaths recorded.
