The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has once again, reported 452 new cases of the coronavirus across the country, taking the total confirmed cases so far to 21,371.
The NCDC announced on Tuesday 23rd June 2020, on its official social media handle that 452 new cases have been recorded in some states of the federation.
The latest figures just like the previous updates from the national public health institute, which is responaible to lead the prevention, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks in Nigeria, shows Lagos state with the highest positive cases out of the 452 new cases confirmed on Tuesday.
The state recorded 209 cases out of the positive cases confirmed on Tuesday, with Oyo state having the second highest.
The update from the national public health institute, also shows that the 452 new cases were recorded in 14 states, including the FCT. The distribution of these new cases across the 14 states, shows the following:

The national public health institute, also reported that from these, a total of 7,338 patients have been discharged and 533 deaths recorded as at Tuesday 23rd June 2020.
