President Muhammadu Buhari is reported to be in a closed-door meeting with Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State House, Abuja.

The closed-door meeting according to sources, is to discuss the ongoing crisis rocking the party over chairmanship position and the recent defections witnessed in Edo and Ondo State.

Those at the meeting are the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu; Chairman of Northern Governors Forum, Simon Lalong and Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru.

The ongoing  meeting followed Sunday evening’s meeting between Buhari and the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, who had hinted that the president would lead a push for the settlement of the crisis within the next few days.
