All Progressives Congress APC Screening Committee for Edo State Governorship election on Friday 12th June 2020, declared Governor Godwin Obaseki unqualified to contest in the election due to some alleged discrepancies in his educational certificates and NYSC.
Others who were reported to have been disqualified by the APC screening committee are Hon. Matthew Iduoroyekemwen and Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi.
The Screening committee however cleared Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu, Dr. Pius Odubu and Hon. Osaro Obazee.
