A 48-Year-Old Man Electrocuted In Awada, Anambra State

A 48-year-old man has been electrocuted while connecting light from Electricity cable in Awada, Anambra state.

The victim reported to have been electrocuted was identified as one Mr Emmanuel Oduka who hails from Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State but resides at number 1 Obieminaka street Awada Onitsha.

Police operatives visited the scene to rushed the electrocuted man to St Charles Borromeo hospital, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty.

His body had been deposited at the hospital mortuary while the investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Confirming the incident in a press release by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Haruna Muhammed, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr John Abang advises residents to seek for experts whenever they have an electric fault in to avert such ugly incident.
