The Nigerian Police has commenced a manhunt for the abductors of the Nasarawa Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Chairman, Arch Bishop Joseph G. Masin.

The Police in a statement released on Thursday 28th May 2020, said the rescue operation for the abducted Clergyman is being coordinated by the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Adebola Longe in collaboration with detectives from the Force Headquarters, Abuja and the locals.

The Nasarawa State Commissioner of police, Bola Longe had earlier on Thursday confirmed the incident, where he said the abductors of the Nasaraw CAN Chairman went with him on motorcycles.

He said few minutes to the hour of twelve, Wednesday night, gunmen stormed the residence of the Chairman at Bukan Sidi area of Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

Bola Longe added that the police have intensified surveillance ensure the immediate release of Mister Masin.
