President Donald Trump has promised to assist Nigeria with ventilators as support to the fight against COVID-19.
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed made this know at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
According to the Minister, President Muhammadu Buhari today had a phone conversation with President Donald Trump, centred on Nigeria’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“President Trump assured that the United States stands in solidarity with Nigeria in this difficult time and promised to send ventilators to support the country in its fight against the pandemic”.
The Minister said.
As of April 27, 2020, Nigeria has reported a total of 1,337 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with its death toll at 40.
