President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated all Muslims as they commence this year’s Ramadan fast, which is depicted by self-denial, universal brotherhood, austerity and helping relatives and needy people.
President Buhari who is also a Muslim, in his short message which was shared on his official social media handle on Thursday 23rd April 2020, while congratulating all Muslims, also reminded them that “the coronavirus pandemic; must also not be used as an excuse not to participate in the Ramadan fast, unless such abstention is warranted by the exemptions clearly laid out by health and religious authorities,” he said.
He ended his message by saying:
“I wish all Muslims in Nigeria and the world over all the blessings of the holy month,” he said.
