The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has reported a total of 117 additional new cases of the coronavirus in Nigeria, as the total Infected Patients reaches 782 as at Tuesday 21st April 2020.
The total Infected patients for the coronavirus in Nigeria, as at Tuesday 21st April 2020 reached 782, as NCDC recorded its highest positive cases in a single day, since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
The NCDC made this announcement on their official Twitter handle, as they once again, updated Nigerians on the current situation of things in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
According to a tweet from the NCDC at about 11:25pm on Tuesday 21st April 2020, the distribution of the 117 recorded new cases across the country, shows that Lagos and Abuja are still looking like the hot spots, with Kano looking dangerous on a daily. The figures shows that:
59 cases in Lagos,
29 cases in FCT,
14 cases in Kano State
6 cases were recorded in Borno State.
The tweet further revealed that four cases were recorded in Katsina State, three in Ogun State and one in Rivers and Bauchi State.
These brings the total Infected Patients to 782 confirmed cases, with discharged cases put at 197 and number of Deaths: 25.
The NCDC also said that five cases previously reported in Lagos State, have been transferred to Ogun State. This therefore means that Lagos has reported 430 confirmed cases while Ogun has reported 20 confirmed cases.
