Lagos state government has discharged yet another four more patients from one of the isolation facilities in the state, as the battle to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus continues to yield positive results.
The four more patients that were discharged on 11th April 2020, were confirmed by Governor Sanwo-Olu himself, in his daily briefing to Lagosians on the ongoing work to make the state coronavirus free.
Taking to his social media page on Saturday, Governor Sanwo-Olu in his usual way, addressed Lagosians outside the Lagos state, government house, where he gave the following update about the latest on the fight against coronavirus in the state. He said:
“Dear Lagosians,
Today, 4 more patients; all Male, including an 11-year-old boy have been discharged from the Lagos State Isolation facilities to reunite with his family and the society.
The patients; 3 from Mainland Hospital, Yaba and 1 from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) were discharged having recovered fully and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19
This brings to 50, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from the Lagos State isolation facilities.
I appeal to residents to stay at home, practice the Social Distancing Principle and observe the highest possible personal and hand hygiene.
We are on a steady course to victory, let’s all make little sacrifices for the greater good.

The governor also has been celebrating the health workers in Lagos, as he posted some photos of some of the staffs that have been working behind the scenes to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
A few hours after confirming the discharged of four more patients from Lagos facilities, he posted the photos with a caption that reads:
“To the HEROES of our time………………….. How many thank you’s can we say for your selflessness?
How many fist bumps can we possibly give you for your dedication?
How much pay rise will make up for your unconditional sacrifices?
How many elbow shakes would be enough to show our appreciation?
Although you don’t wear capes, you are the real supermen and superwomen.
You are our MVPs
It was you we looked to when our world was threatened,
When we called, you answered,
With so little, you have done so much.
History will never forget you
Lagosians will always remember you
To every Health worker who has rendered their unconditional services during this national emergency and in the Easter period.
